This eservice enables applicants who want to register for the National Examinations at Advanced level (S.6). All candidates who want to register for A-level exams and they did not get a chance to register from schools can apply for this service if they have all the needed requirements as detailed below.
Who can register?
1. People who sat for A-Level National Examinations in Rwanda (or the equivalent in other countries) in any academic year prior the year in which they intend to register as private candidates
2. People who sat for O-Level National Examinations (or the equivalent in other countries). At least 5 years from the date of sitting for the O’ level Exam and did not continue or dropped out of A’ level. In this category, they should at least have finished ordinary in 2011 or before.
Note: people who studied from Burundi willing to sit for A’ level national exams as private candidates will bring “Attestation de participation aux examens de fin du Collège”, those from Congo (DRC) will bring to REB “attestation de fréquentation” issued by the regional inspector, those from Uganda will bring a letter of results’ verification issued by UNEB, while those from Tanzania will bring to REB National certificate(s) issued by NECTA (the body responsible for national exams in Tanzania). The above mentioned documents will be taken to REB office no 9 at least one week before private candidates’ registration starts.

EMM (Ecole Ménagère Moyenne)
EAP (Ecole d’Apprentissage Pédagogique)
EMA (Ecole de Moniteur Auxiliaire)
ENA (Ecole Normale Auxiliaire)
ENTA (Ecole Normale Technique Auxiliaire)
CERAR (Centre d’Education Rurale et Artisanale au Rwanda)
CERAI (Centre d’Education Rurale et Artisanale Intégrée)
Rules and requirements of private candidates

1. Access Irembo and click on registration of National Exams and select private candidates 2. Fill the form with all your details and attach the needed attachments 3. Select a center where you will have to go for physical interviewing 4. Make payment directly online using a VISA or MasterCard card, OR select another option (Mobile Money on MTN (*182#), Airtel (*182#) or Tigo (*310#) or visit a BK branch, BK Yacu or MobiCashagent close to you). 5. Submit your application to REB officers at the selected Center 6. Once the REB Officer receives your application, he/she will review it and you will receive an SMS notifying you of the application status.
